What kind of pot & pan set or brand should I buy?
Here are my needs:
- Nonstick cooking
- Dishwasher safe
- Handles do not get too hot to handle with a bare hand!!
- Even heat distribution
- Last a long time (I’m sick of hand-me-downs!)
- The nonstick will not scrape off or wear off quickly (I use wood or plastic utensils, not metal)
- Clear glass lids are a plus
- No cast-iron
- Oven-safe
- Clean up easily
I was looking into the “Cooking with Calphalon” set that Kohl’s offers and saw a lot of problems, and it turns out this set is much more “cheap” than what I am looking for.
If you want, can you please give me a review of the set YOU own, what you like/dislike and your experiences with it? It would help me tremendously..I don’t trust all the hyped up promises on these companies’ websites

I purchased the Cooks Essential brand off of QVC a few years ago. It is the best set of pots and pans I have ever owned. All of your requirements are met with these. They have two sets. One is up to 500 degrees safe in the oven. The other is 350 degrees. I have the 350 degrees pots and pans.
There is nothing that I don’t like about this set. I think they are great. After I bought them I took the pots and pans from my house to the lake. After using the olds ones at the lake for a couple of weeks my husband asked me to order another set. They have a lot of different sets to purchase. Go to QVC.com and check them out.
